FAQ

Ferrous Metal contains iron. The word itself is derived from the Latin word Ferrum which literally means “iron”. Ferrous Metals include Steel and Stainless Steel. Non-Ferrous Metal is any metal that does not contain iron. Common Non-Ferrous Metals are; Aluminum Copper, Nickel, Tin, Lead, Zinc, and the alloy Brass.
Aluminum foil is made from an aluminum alloy which contains between 92 and 99 percent aluminum. The popularity of aluminum foil for so many applications is due to several major advantages, one of the fore most being that the raw materials necessary for its manufacture are plentiful. Aluminum foil is inexpensive, durable, non-toxic, and greaseproof.an addition, it resists chemical attack and provides excellent electrical and non-magnetic shielding.
Aluminium foil is an absolute barrier to light, oxygen, gases, moisture, bacterial and provides high level of protection, preservation, conservation of products characteristics for long period of time and without refrigeration, it is malleable, fordable, formable and can be used for wrapping without losing its barrier properties. and according to its thickness, alloy or temper, any shape can be obtained.
After annealing at high temperature at the end of its production process, aluminium foil is completely sterile and it is safe to be used in food contact as it will not react with a large majority of foods. In most applications, it is used laminated with another material.
Aluminium foil , bright or mat finish, is compatible with all printing technologies.
Aluminium Foil has an excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, ideal for heat-sealing or high-precision and ultra-sonic sealing.
Aluminium is a very light metal (density 2.7g/cm3, one third of the one of steel), and therefore minimizes the weight of packaging used, and helps to save resources during transportation of final product and waste.

There are a few generalizations that can be made about pinholes and aluminum foil Pinholes exist in thin gauge foils. Pinholes in the foil layer do not have a significant effect on barrier properties. Flexing will increase the number of pinholes in the foil layer and decrease the barrier. Pinholes in the foil layer are not the same as through-holes in the comp.
Actually, it makes no difference which side of the aluminum foil you use both sides do the same fine job of cooking, freezing and storing food. The difference in appearance between dull and shiny is due to the foil manufacturing process.
The lowest or basic strength of aluminum and each of its alloys is determined when the metal is in the annealed or soft condition. This is designated as the O (letter O) temper Annealing consists of heating the metal to the appropriate temperature for the correct period of time. All alloys can be annealed. All alloys also are strain-hardened and strengthened when cold worked, as in foil rolling. When the final product is wanted in the soft condition, it is given a final anneal. Because aluminum and certain of its alloys are strengthened beyond their basic strengths only by strain hardening, they are non-heat-treatable. Nearly all of the foil presently produced is rolled from non-heat-treatable alloys, which are given "H" number temper designations for the various specific strain-hardened conditions in which they are made. For example, common foil availability is alloy 8011-H18; the H1 means strain hardened, and the next digit indicates the degree of hardening, the 8 meaning ful hard.

The induction seal (or induction wad) basically consists of four layer Cardboard or Foam / Wax Layer/ Aluminum Foil/ Sealing Film, It simply creates a very strong sealing liner, much high speed of operation as compared to conduction, with high speed sealing. Cooler operation and low power consumption.
